Conquer Snowdon by moonlight and make every step matter for Cornwall Hospice!
Take on a truly unique challenge
Imagine standing at the summit of the highest mountain in England and Wales by moonlight, knowing that every step you’ve taken has helped bring comfort, dignity and specialist end-of-life care to people across Cornwall.
Rising 1,085m above the rugged landscapes of Snowdonia (Eryri) National Park in North Wales, Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) is reputedly the burial place of a mythical giant. A popular summit by day, it becomes a real challenge by night – though you’ll be spurred on every step of the way knowing that your efforts are helping a cause close to your heart. You’ll climb steadily through the darkness to stand at the summit by moonlight, before watching the spectacular landscapes open up around you as the day grows lighter – a magical moment that feels truly out of this world.
It’s demanding, yes. But it’s also unforgettable – and every step you take will help to raise vital funds to support the patients and families who need Cornwall Hospice most.
Why this trek matters
Every year, Cornwall Hospice cares for hundreds of people living with life-limiting illness, and supports the people who love them. That care – the nursing, the compassion, the quiet moments that mean so much – is only possible because of people like you.

Fundraising guidance from our team
Our friendly fundraising team at Cornwall Hospice is here to help you reach your target. From fundraising ideas and templated communications to personal support and cheerleading, we’ll make it as easy as possible to raise money and celebrate your efforts.
What about fundraising?
We know that committing to a fundraising target can feel a little overwhelming, especially if you haven’t done it before. Please don’t let that put you off – most people are genuinely surprised by how much support they receive once they start sharing their story and why this cause matters to them.
Discover Adventure offer multiple ways to fundraise for your challenge trek, so you can choose the option that works best for you.
Fundraising option: Pay a registration fee and commit to raising a minimum sponsorship amount. Half of that target covers your trip costs – flights, accommodation, guides and logistics – and the other half goes directly to Cornwall Hospice. Any funds you raise above the target come to us in full.
Full-payment option: Pay your own trip costs in full, with no minimum fundraising target. Anything you raise will come directly to Cornwall Hospice.
Pricing Breakdown
Full Payment – £49 registration fee + £225 [8 weeks before departure].
Fundraising Option – £49 registration fee + £450 of fundraising paid to Cornwall Hospice [10 weeks before departure].

Ready to take on Snowdon by night?
Snowdon has watched over North Wales for thousands of years. Your challenge takes just one night – but the impact will last far longer.
When you trek for Cornwall Hospice, you become part of something much bigger than the miles you walk. You join a community of people who believe that everyone deserves compassionate, expert care at the end of life. And you help make sure that care is always there, right here in Cornwall.
It was the most physically and mentally challenging thing I’ve ever done, but with the wonderful support from the crew we made it and were elated! – Val
