Spring Open Garden & Family Fun Day

This special event marks the return of a much-loved open garden day!

Step into the beauty of one of Cornwall’s most enchanting private gardens and enjoy a relaxed, family-friendly afternoon at Tregrehan Garden – all while supporting the vital work of Cornwall Hospice.

Book ahead for a discounted rate and a guaranteed cream tea or kids sweet treat! Get your tickets here.

Explore Enchanting Gardens

Tregrehan is internationally recognised for its rare and exotic plant collections, historic greenhouse, sweeping lawns, and magical woodland walks. In spring, the woodland floor is carpeted with breath taking bluebells – a sight not to be missed!

Wander through:

  • The stunning gardens
  • The historic Victorian greenhouse
  • The tranquil woodland paths

Whether you’re a keen horticulturist or simply someone who appreciates natural beauty, this is a rare opportunity to experience Tregrehan in full Spring seasonal splendour!

A Perfect Afternoon for Families

Join us for a joyful day out! We’ll have cream teas, sweet treats, and delicious savoury eats available for purchase.

Get stuck into:

  • A woodland trail
  • Traditional lawn games and activities
  • Creative crafts
  • Live music from Rachel Best
  • Cornwall Hospice pop-up garden shop

There will be plenty of space for all the family to enjoy the atmosphere, music and gardens. Bring a picnic blanket and soak up the best of Spring whilst you tuck into a cream tea.

Why Your Ticket Matters

Every ticket helps Cornwall Hospice continue providing specialist end of life care for people across Cornwall. The charity runs two hospices – Mount Edgcumbe in St Austell and St Julia’s in Hayle – offering compassionate care and support to patients and their families when they need it most.

With limited NHS funding, Cornwall Hospice relies heavily on community events like this to fund our services. By spending an afternoon in beautiful surroundings, you’re directly helping local families receive expert care, dignity and comfort.

Please Note:

We are not able to cater to dietary requests for our cream tea service. However, alternative milks will be available for general tea & coffees, alongside nut, dairy and gluten free bakes. All of which will be available to purchase on the day.

Access:

There is plenty of parking within a short walk of the garden entrance. The loos situated next to the car park are equipped with fold down bars and access is on level ground. The Walled Garden, Glasshouse Range and top half of the garden is all accessible to wheelchairs via graded pathways.

Dogs:

Unfortunately dogs aren’t allowed in the main garden, so we ask that you leave furry friends at home.

On The Day Prices:

Adult Entry: £12

Child Entry: £4
