DESCRIPTION:Our Walk Talk Kernow Hayle King George V Memorial Walk event will take place on Thursday 18th June 2026. We meet outside Gilberts Beach Bar & Kitchen at 10.00am to register. \nWalk Talk Kernow is a FREE adult bereavement support group run by Cornwall Hospice. Whilst walking in nature\, each group provides a space for those who are bereaved and seeking social connections with others. \nKey information about Walk Talk Kernow Hayle – King George V Memorial Walk \n\nWe will take a stroll along the Memorial Walk at the half way point we will loop back returning to the cafe for refreshments and finish by 12.00pm. \n\n\nThe Walk Talk Kernow Hayle walk is a flat well surfaced pathway (an amble NOT a ramble) with a choice of tarmacked or woodland loop back\, with an approximate distance 2 miles. It is mostly flat but some grassy banks on the loop so NOT suitable for wheelchair users or those with mobility issues. \n\n\nSuitable footwear and appropriate clothing are essential. \nWell behaved dogs on a lead are welcome.\nPlease ensure you are fit and healthy on the day as you will be asked to sign on our registration form to this effect. \n** During the summer months it is important to stay hydrated\, please bring along adequate drinks for this reason **\nOur team will be wearing Cornwall Hospice lanyards so do look out for them. \n\n\nPlease note: There is a car park beside Hayle Swimming Pool available (free at the time of hosting this event). DESCRIPTION:We’re delighted to have the return of the Lamorran Open Gardens for 2026.\nThe Lamorran Garden will be open on Sunday 21st June – Father’s Day. Don’t miss entry to this spectacular garden – what better than an outing with family and friends to see the garden in bloom at its best at this time of year. \nThis event is organised by the Roseland Fundraising Group in support of Cornwall Hospice\, with the kind permission of Mr & Mrs Dudley-Cooke. \n\nWhat you’ll experience at Lamorran Open Garden\nLamorran is a subtropical\, Italianate inspired garden on Cornwall’s beautiful Roseland peninsula. A garden of many levels\, it’s situated on a south facing slope\, and is surrounded on three sides by the benign influence of the warming sea. St Anthony’s headland sits across the water\, creating a protected inlet to St Mawes and the river beyond. An extensive\, eclectic and unusual range of plants can be found\, with particular emphasis on southern hemisphere and sub-tropical flora. \nVisitor Information\n\nNo booking required\nWell-behaved dogs on leads are welcome\nToilets available\nLimited parking on Upper Castle Road\nPlant sales available\nRefreshments available\, including cream teas and cakes\n\nPlease note – All visitors are very welcome and although the layout of the garden makes it unsuitable for wheelchair users\, there are areas of the garden where those visitors with limited mobility can visit and enjoy the vistas out to sea. \nEntry: £10 – (cash and card available)\, Under 16’s free \n\nYou can see what other fundraising events we have coming up by visiting our website events calendar.

The petals are provided. \nAbout The Lost Gardens of Heligan\nHeligan is one of the most mysterious estates in England.  Lost to the brambles of time since the outbreak of World War One\, this Sleeping Beauty was re-awakened in 1990 to become Europe’s largest garden restoration project.
