SUMMARY:Grief and Bereavement
DESCRIPTION:The Grief and Bereavement course is available for Health and Social Care Professionals across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.\nThis three-hour workshop will provide participants with an opportunity to gain and enhance their knowledge of grief and bereavement.\nThe course will explore Anticipatory Grief\, consider what it is\, and examine its implications in practice. Some of the theories and models of grief and bereavement will be explored to see if they help Healthcare Professionals understand people’s reaction to loss. \nParticipants will consider factors which may potentially impact on a person’s ability to cope with bereavement\, including disenfranchised grief\, and why people find it hard to support the bereaved. Strategies and resources will then be identified that may help support those who are bereaved. \nA certificate will be awarded upon completion of the session. \nThe Course costs include refreshments. \n  \nTo see alternative dates for this course\, and for details of other courses we offer please visit our website Education events calendar.
