DESCRIPTION:The Grief and Bereavement course is available for Health and Social Care Professionals across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.\nThis three-hour workshop will provide participants with an opportunity to gain and enhance their knowledge of grief and bereavement.\nThe course will explore Anticipatory Grief\, consider what it is\, and examine its implications in practice. Some of the theories and models of grief and bereavement will be explored to see if they help Healthcare Professionals understand people’s reaction to loss. \nParticipants will consider factors which may potentially impact on a person’s ability to cope with bereavement\, including disenfranchised grief\, and why people find it hard to support the bereaved. DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Walk Talk Kernow Cape Cornwall event on Friday 10th July 2026. Meet near the main entrance of the Cape Cornwall Club (Golf Club) at 10am to register.\nThen we’ll set off for a gentle stroll (an amble not a ramble) towards Carn Gloose with views of Cape Cornwall and Sennen on a clear day!   We then take a circular route back through Bollowal Farm back to the Club for refreshments. \nWalk Talk Kernow is a FREE adult bereavement support group run by Cornwall Hospice. DESCRIPTION:Our Walk Talk Kernow Godrevy event will take place on Thursday 16th July 2026. We will meet outside the café by the benches at 10.00am to register.\nWalk Talk Kernow is a FREE adult bereavement support group run by Cornwall Hospice. Whilst walking in nature\, each group provides a space for those who are bereaved and seeking social connections with others. \nKey information about Walk Talk Kernow Godrevy\n\nWe will take a moderate walk of approximately 2 mile circular around Godrevy headland and back returning to the cafe for refreshments and finish by 12.00pm.\nThe walk is at strolling pace (an amble NOT a ramble) along either the service road or coast path depending on weather and ability … if we are lucky we may get a glimpse of some seals!\nThe café and walk are accessible to most although there some steeper parts\, uneven ground and slope up around the headland. DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Walk Talk Kernow Trelissick event on Friday 24th July 2026.  Meet at the Information Hut at 10.00am to register.\nWalk Talk Kernow is a FREE adult bereavement support group run by Cornwall Hospice. Whilst walking in nature\, each group provides a space for those who are bereaved and seeking social connections with others.\nWe meet at the Trelissick Gardens Information Hut located in the car park next to the Callestick ice cream shed. We will stroll (an amble NOT a ramble) in our chosen direction depending on suitability then back to the National Trust café. Visitors can enjoy a truly unique landscape with breathtaking views across the gardens and out towards St Austell Bay. \nVisitor Information\n\nNo booking required\nWell-behaved dogs on leads are welcome\nToilets available\nParking available at Trenython\nRefreshments available\, including cream teas and cakes\n\nPlease note: Fontana is a valley garden with steep slopes and uneven ground\, which can be slippery when wet. DESCRIPTION:Our Walk Talk Kernow Godrevy event will take place on Thursday 20th August 2026. We will meet outside the café by the benches at 10.00am to register.\nWalk Talk Kernow is a FREE adult bereavement support group run by Cornwall Hospice. Whilst walking in nature\, each group provides a space for those who are bereaved and seeking social connections with others.\nKey information about Walk Talk Kernow Godrevy\n\nWe will take a moderate walk of approximately 2 mile circular to the RNLI Lifeguard Station towards Gwithian\, returning to the café for refreshments with the group finishing at 12pm.\nThe Walk Talk Kernow Godrevy walk is at strolling pace (an amble NOT a ramble) along either the high tide line across the beach or via the nature reserve and looping either way before heading back.\nThe café and walk are accessible to most although there some steeper parts\, uneven ground and slope to the beach. Not suitable for wheelchairs or wheeled walkers. If the access over the bridge is impassable\, we will walk towards the lighthouse.\nSuitable footwear and appropriate clothing are essential.\nWell behaved dogs on a lead are welcome.\nPlease ensure you are fit and healthy on the day as you will be asked to sign our registration form to this effect. ** During the summer months it is important to stay hydrated\, please bring along adequate drinks for this reason **\nOur team will be wearing Cornwall Hospice lanyards so do look out for them.\nPlease note: There is a charge for parking. DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Walk Talk Kernow Truro Boscawen Park event on Friday 28th August 2026 at 10.00am to register.   We will stroll (an amble NOT a ramble) along the river walk\, through the park\, round the duckpond\, coming out at the café.\nWalk Talk Kernow is a FREE adult bereavement support group run by Cornwall Hospice.
