DESCRIPTION:What is Petals to Remember?\nWe’re inviting you to join us for Petals to Remember – unique and peaceful events to remember loved ones this June.  You can join us either The Lost Gardens of Heligan near Mevagissey and St Austell on Sunday 21st June or Trebah Gardens near Falmouth on Sunday 28th June. As gentle music plays we invite you to release petals\, light candles and enjoy the nature all around us.  This event is free to attend but you do need to register in advance to join us\, and advise which of the two venues you’d like to come to. \nThese events are kindly sponsored by W J Beswetherick & Son.  \nThe petals are provided at each venue are sourced locally from the Kehelland Trust. \nWe would like to offer our sincere thank you to both venues for supporting Petals to Remember. \nPetals to Remember at The Lost Gardens of Heligan\nAt The Lost Gardens of Heligan near Mevagissey\, entry is at 3pm and you’re welcome to explore the gardens until 6pm.  Once you arrive at the for Petals to Remember\, please look for the Cornwall Hospice representatives near admissions who will sign you in for the event and direct you to the area of the gardens in which the petal release will take place. The petals are provided. \nAbout The Lost Gardens of Heligan\nHeligan is one of the most mysterious estates in England.  Lost to the brambles of time since the outbreak of World War One\, this Sleeping Beauty was re-awakened in 1990 to become Europe’s largest garden restoration project. Today Heligan’s 200 acres are a paradise for the explorer\, wildlife\, plant lover and garden romantic. \nAccessibility for Petals to Remember\nApproximately 13 acres of this can be accessed via even paths including; Productive Gardens\, Pleasure Grounds and Home Farm as well as access to the Steward’s House.  The Gardens lie on a gentle downhill gradient\, so please remember this when you want to make your way back to the exit.  The Jungle and Wider Estate are unfortunately not easily accessible to everyone.  Heligan has ample toilet facilities on arrival and at the Steward’s House\, including accessible toilets. \nYou can find out about accessibility and facilities at Heligan on their own Accessibility webpage. \nHow to get to Petals to Remember\nThe Lost Gardens of Heligan are near Mevagissey on the B3273 and is easily found by following the brown tourist signs to The Lost Gardens of Heligan.  For more details on how to get to The Lost Gardens of Heligan\, please visit their website How To Find Us page. \nWhat happens next?\n\nRegister today for FREE by clicking the sign up button by 12pm on 17th June\nYou’ll receive a confirmation email to the email address you provided when you registered\, confirming your booking.\nArrive at The Lost Gardens of Heligan and head to the entrance – you will see some of the Cornwall Hospice team.\nYou’ll be able to collect petals ready to scatter\, at the venue – we don’t send them out in advance.\nJoin us to scatter your petals and light a candle to remember your loved ones.\nEnjoy the gardens at your venue.\n\nRegister for free here

The petals are provided. \nAbout Trebah Gardens\nTrebah Gardens encompasses four miles of footpaths that wind through dazzling exotic planting\, transporting you from a little corner of England to sunnier climes. It also has it’s very own private beach and the countless secret corners waiting to be discovered in the garden.  If you’d like to download a garden map in advance\, you can find that here. \nAccessibility for Petals to Remember\nAs a valley garden\, the route down and back up is very steep and therefore we do not recommend manual wheelchairs. DESCRIPTION:We’re delighted to have the Fontana Open Garden included in our 2026 events calendar and our thanks go to Derek and Marina Bishop for allowing access to their incredible garden to support our Cornish charity.\n\nDon’t miss the chance to explore this spectacular garden—perfect for an afternoon out with family and friends. \nThis event is kindly organised by Derek and Marina Bishop of Fontana Garden in support of Cornwall Hospice. \nWhat you’ll experience at Fontana Open Garden\nFontana is a stunning\, enclosed 14-acre valley garden featuring wild areas filled with primroses\, anemones and bluebells\, alongside a bamboo garden\, waterfalls and rockeries. Visitors can enjoy a truly unique landscape with breathtaking views across the gardens and out towards St Austell Bay. \nVisitor Information\n\nNo booking required\nWell-behaved dogs on leads are welcome\nToilets available\nParking available at Trenython\nRefreshments available\, including cream teas and cakes\n\nPlease note: Fontana is a valley garden with steep slopes and uneven ground\, which can be slippery when wet. Unfortunately\, it is not suitable for wheelchair users or those unsteady on their feet. \nSensible footwear is strongly advised. A golf cart is available on a first-come\, first-served basis. \nEntry: £5 (cash only) \nDirections to Fontana Gardens\nFrom Tywardreath\, head towards Fowey on Castledore Road.
